The chemical industry is one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, particularly the processes used to separate chemical compounds. Most separation processes rely on distillation, which requires a lot of energy in the form of heat. external pageUnisieve has developed membranes that separate molecules according to their size, similar to a sieve. This separation process requires much less energy, making it cheaper and cleaner.
